Our story

Monica Duran has been a practicing physical therapist in Tucson since 1996. She graduated from Northern Arizona University with a BS in Food and Nutrition Science, and a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy. She earned the Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Health Physical Therapy (CAPP- Pelvic) through the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy offered by the American Physical Therapy Association. She has advanced training for pediatric pelvic health therapy and biofeedback.

The desire for her to venture into treating patients with pelvic floor dysfunction stems from a personal journey to find help for a pediatric family member suffering with  that condition. This journey took her family out of state for medical care. Because of the first hand experience, she decided to specialize in pelvic floor physical therapy and was inspired to launch into private clinical practice for  pediatric pelvic health. She is passionate about helping her patients improve their quality of life being affected by bladder and bowel problems stemming from pelvic floor muscle dysfunction.

Monica and her husband Jaime  spend their leisure time with their adult children, extended family, friends, their dog Camilla, and cat Thomas. They enjoy the outdoor activities famous in Arizona, love traveling, and are involved in their local church. They are passionate about participating in global missions trips to share the Gospel, including Medical missions. Monica also loves to camp, cook, read and hike in her spare time.
